The Hot Chick is a slapstick comedy that gives reality a little twist that makes a person realize about his/her good and bad side. The plot and the setting of the film is a comedy genre to make the audience understand the lesson of the film easily.

The story is all about a high school cheer leader named Jessica Spencer who is an ever popular heartthrob girl in school together with her best friend April , and the cheerleaders Lulu and Keecia. Jessica has the meanest attitude from the group and likes to show off her beauty and sexy body in malls by wearing alluring clothes from top designers and sometimes from wholesale apparel stores and more. With her naughty attitude, using her charisma is her own way to look down on other people especially when it comes to their rival in cheerleading.

Until she crossed path with Clive, a 30 year-something-year-old lowlife that has a criminal career and will turn her life upside down. The story starts when Jessica stole an antique earring that is known to have a magical power. The earring is believed to transmit and exchange souls to other bodies when each halve of the earring is worn at the same time by two individuals.

Because Jessica was mean and has a devilish attitude especially to low lives, fate decided to give her a taste of her own medicine and change her attitude for good. When Jessica and Clive crossed their paths in a convenient store and as soon as Clive got the other pair of the magical earrings, both their lives were never the same.

After that day, their lives changed. Jessica’s soul had been transferred into Clive’s body and vice versa. With the perfect life of Jessica comes crashing down, she began to realize true friendship and how to deal with manly problems such as using the rest room standing and fist fighting with a guy at a bar and more. Now that she cannot wear her clothes and visits wholesale shoes fashion stores. She began start acting like a man and wear men’s clothing while her best friend April finds a solution to Jessica’s problem.

Now, Jessica realizes how cruel she was to people and began to change it for good. She learns how to respect others when she got her body back. The story basically depicts that everything in this is not permanent and sometimes a change in life comes in unexpected day and unexpected time. The film also wants to depict about “Karma”, and that everything is possible and fate decides on those people who doesn’t respect others.
